Nayanmitra presents, Om Sharanya Namah! Homage to The Sun God, or Surya Bhagwan, on this Sunday afternoon of the Summer!
In all cultures, the Sun God is worshipped in one form or the other. He is considered life nourisher, one who drives away darkness, who represents will power, courage, benevolence and fame! He was the Guru of Hanumanji, and Sri Ram was a Suryavanshi. Recently, we visited Konark Temple which is one of the largest and oldest temples dedicated to Sun. Sharanya is one of hundred names of the Sun God in Sanskrit.
This work is meant to be a meditation of the Sun God, especially as you are looking for positive energy. Sun is related to our soul, and his worship strengthens your soul as u move forward in your spiritual practice.
In this work, I have used acrylic paint on paper. Tried to make it multi-dimensional, and used the design we used in KD Shah’s wedding invitation card.
