Description
This painting was inspired from Gyorgy Doczi’s The Power of Limits. I was so awestruck with the illustration that I analyzed it for hours, and tried drawing it using a compass. After several trials, finalized the sketch and took me over 100 hours of meticulous painting using shades of turquoise and white in the original.
I called it harmony as it depicts vibrations coming from two individuals coming together and connecting mentally and spiritually, not just physically to create harmony in their home or environment. It is comprised of bindus, interlocking circles and parabolas. These create countless triangles – Purush and Prakriti – peacefully co-existing – creating an unique harmony.
Doczi also explains it as follows: -“the power of limits is the force behind creation. When two pebbles are dropped into the water some distance from each other, circular patterns of the parent waves join to create ellipses that grow wider and wider until (beyond the confines of this picture) they also become circles. Meanwhile, the first circles are becoming transformed from closed circles centred upon themselves, they are growing into parabolic arches, reaching out beyond themselves toward the infinite.’
