Description
The design have been inspired by the ornamental rectangular designs in the Royal suite of the Lake Palace Hotel in Udaipur from early 20th century, which is botanically, quite a realistic illustration of blooming roses, buds, serrated leaves and stems with thorns.
Then, I have been influenced by the Burmese lacquerware made with black and gold colours, used in Buddhist temples. The gold colour represents the soul and these colour combination is about remaining focussed on our path to enlightenment despite being surrounded by obstacles.
Numerologically, I have used the number six – which is the number of harmony, love and compassion, care and healing, sacrifice and community service.
Number 6 is also the lucky colour in the Chinese tradition. In Mathematics, it is considered the perfect number!
