Description

The three ‘gunas’ of life are Satt (the spiritual), Rajj (the good) and Tamm (the dark or ugly or evil). All three gunas are hidden within ourselves. Our environment (home, school, church/temple, government etc.) helps us keep the Tamas latent and quiet. We need a spiritual teacher to open the lock and bring out the Sattvik guna – and show us the light, and remove darkness from our lives. For most of us, we are trained to go after the Rajjsik lives (comforts, luxuries, good food, fashion etc.).

This painting shows the confusion and inter-dependence between the gunas of Satt (orange) and Raj (red). In my opinion, we should balance both and live a dynamic life represented by the 24 petals of lotus around 2 dynamic circles. Numerologically, 24 has the quality of 6 – which denotes the macrocosmic – the spiritual and material world, the balance and the union of Purush and Prakriti.

This meditation should help you remove any confusion you may have, and help you make good choices in your life.
